ScreenHaven is one-to-many desktop screen sharing application. It is designed to be a partner to a telephone conference (i.e. TeleKit) to reduce the need for travel. It takes periodic images (whole screen shots, sections or areas surrounding the mouse) and stores them on the server for use within a remote meeting. These screen shots, along with comments can be saved as a record of a meeting.
ScreenHaven is designed as a Screen Sharing system. Click the ‘Window’ menu and choose ScreenHaven (or key Command-S for Macintosh, Control-S for Windows & Linux) — this will bring the ScreenHaven window to the front.
Two Modes
Publish
This mode takes your whole desktop screen (or a portion of it) and stores slices of them over time on the shared server. For privacy, you determine who can and who can’t view these slices, and who is currently viewing your screens. If you need to view something privately, you can pause the screen updating anytime, or clear out all the server screens.
Subscribe
This mode allows you to view the screens of a Publisher. As many people as are allowed can subscribe at one time, limited only by the server bandwidth.
Right-Clicking
Some of the elements can be right-clicked to offer more options. These include the Comments windows and the Subscriber screen.
Resize
Drag the resize button in the bottom right corner of most windows to change the window size. Drag the column borders to resize the columns.
Close a Window
Choose Close Window from the File menu to close the uppermost window (or type Command-W, Control-W for Windows & Linux)
Refresh
Click the Refresh Button to look for new Messages on the server. TwitHaven checks the server for new Messages automatically, but this button can be used to search immediately. Every time the server is accessed a progress wheel appears in the corner of the window. During these operation the program will become less responsive.
